Comment Policy

Basically, it’s pretty simple:

1.  Be polite.

2.  Be relevant.

The comments section of this blog is moderated by me.  This is my little corner of the interwebs.  I am under no obligation to uphold your right to be rude, demeaning, ablist, racist, homophobic, or misogynistic. I am also under no obligation to provide free backlinks to irrelevant websites, e-books, or other content.

The purpose of this blog is to share information about adult attention deficit disorder and learning disabilities.  The comments section is a wonderful place for this.  I want everyone to feel welcome to participate in discussions, and to share any relevant information that you think might help adults with ADD or LD.  Information can be scarce, and we need all the help we can get.

But keep in mind that this is Web 2.0, and relationships are key.  If you’re leaving a comment simply to promote your link, without discussing the issues raised by the post or by other commenters, even if your link is relevant, it will look like spam — and people will be annoyed.  And if you’re leaving a comment simply to promote your link, AND your comment does not address issues raised in the post or by other commenters, AND your link has nothing to do with adult ADHD or LD, I will delete it at my discretion.

Or, to put it another way,

YOU WILL RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!

Thank you.
